Portable vacuum cleaners have been around for a few years now, but their qualities have improved a great deal of late. Earlier, hand held portable vacuum cleaners had limited lives, however carefully they were used. They could be used only to pick up small bits of dust, and a little heavy duty meant they either jammed or stopped working.  All that has changed now, and most companies that manufacture portable vacuum cleaners have a range of products that are suitable for different kinds of uses.

Portable vacuum cleaners may be small hand held cleaners that are useful for cleaning car upholstery, small shelves, and window sills. They come with chargeable power bases that can be fitted into normal electric supply sockets. The vacuum cleaner when not in use is based here and its rechargeable battery is kept fully charged for its next use. These are fine for light use, and some models come with attachments that enable them to be used for wet as well as dry cleaning. They are easy to store too.
